This is a very nice table, it does require a little assembly. I had trouble with the bottom slats butting up against the outer framework. A few gaps even with proper tightening of the supplied hardware. I stained and clear coated mine then purchased a piece of glass at Lowes to fit in the top. The top slats allow just enough room for this. Overall very nice little table for the price and solid.
I had a hard time finding a coffee table that was not too high to put in front of our futon in the TV room. This works very nicely. It's sturdy and was a breeze to put together; I do wish that it didn't come unfinished though. A good purchase, and I'm happy with it.
