Each piece is constructed of durable polyethylene (PE) resin that withstands fading, weathering, and aging within a temperature range of -70 C (-94 F) to 80 C (176 F) degrees. The washable strands have a powder-coated finish with a modest sheen that easily sheds drizzle and accidental drips, and will remain unchanged for three years under normal usage. A weatherproof aluminum frame underneath provides increased durability while making the table impervious to sun and rain. A plastic castor on the bottom of each leg protects wooden floors and makes the table easier to slide into place.
The wicker coffee table measures 53-1/2 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 15 inches high and weighs 23.81 pounds. The table looks nice and is a good size. The problem is that it does not come with a glass table top. In the heat, the top gets warm and stretches, making things on the table tip over or sink. It is also difficult to clean with no top. I would give this table a 5 star rating if the glass top was included. I had to purchase one separatly for $160, making the overall cost of the table somewhat expensive. I do LOVE the strathwood collection though, a good value and beautiful furniture.
Very happy with this piece. We bought this along with the sofa and bistro chairs to create a great conversation set.
The table is strong enough that it can hold drinks and food without "sinking" and causing spills.
